Delete your account

You can have your Nirman Hisab account deleted at any time. It is free, and we will not ask why. This page says exactly what is removed, what stays and why, and how long it takes.

How to ask

From the app: Account → Delete my account, type your password, and tap Delete account. It happens at once and signs you out.
Without the app: email sdhaker2@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my account" and the phone number you sign in with.

For a request by email, we first call or message that number to check it really came from you, so nobody can delete somebody else's account, and reply when it is done.

If you are a site manager, or anyone added by a business

Removed — at once from the app, within 7 days by email:

Your name and your phone number (your login).
Your password. The account is switched off and cannot be signed in to again.
Your place on every site, and your phones' notification tokens, so nothing more is sent to you.

Kept, and why: the entries you recorded for your employer — expenses, labour, cash, materials and the bill photos attached to them — are part of that business's accounts. The books belong to the business, not to us, so we do not remove entries from them on one person's request; a site book with holes in it is not a book. They stay, shown against "Removed user" instead of your name. If you want particular entries removed, ask your admin, or tell us and we will pass it on.

If you run the business

Deleting a business deletes everything in it: every site, every record, every photograph and every login your people use. It cannot be undone, so:

Export first. The Excel export in the app gives you the whole book, and it keeps working even after a plan ends.
We confirm with the business owner by phone before starting, and finish within 30 days of that call — usually the same week.
If you only want to leave and the business carries on, we remove just you, as in the section above.

Backups

Deleted data also leaves our backups as they age out: the server's own copies within 14 days, the encrypted off-site copies within 90. Backups are only ever used to restore the service after a failure, never to bring back something that was deleted on request.
